BALTIMORE - Retired WJZ sports director Mark Viviano experienced a thrilling moment with his two sons Tuesday evening at Camden Yards.The Viviano boys -- Mark, along with Michael and Christian -- delivered the ceremonial first pitch ahead of the Baltimore Orioles game against the Toronto Blue Jays.The three then posed for a photo with the O's bird.Viviano's last day at WJZ was on July 18 after spending 22 years at the station.He earned his place as an esteemed sports journalist in the Baltimore community, covering stories on the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens, along with collegiate and high school sports teams."I say to the Orioles, to the Ravens, to any athlete, any coach, anyone who gave me as much as a minute of your time, I never took your time for granted, and I am so grateful that you allowed me to share your story." Viviano says he plans to remain in Baltimore and raise his family with his wife. On his final day at WJZ, he was honored with a video tribute from some of Baltimore's most iconic sports figures.
Man Found Dead in O.C. Condo Pool
A man was found floating face-down in a condo pool just before 11 a.m. this past Sunday on the ocean side of 90th Street. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Ashley Miller, police spokeswoman, says the 58-year-old man comes from Towson, Maryland.

Edgewood man convicted on drug & weapons charges after post-crash X-ray reveals gun
EDGEWOOD, MD—A Harford County man has been convicted on drug and weapons charges. On Thursday, July 18, 2024, Sathrie Zach Robinson Jr., of Edgewood, was found guilty of possession cocaine and methamphetamine and weapons charges following a three-day jury trial in the Circuit Court for Harford County.

An extensive search for Hassan was launched at around 3 p.m. on July 27 when the non-verbal, autistic child was reported missing by his family in Gaithersburg. BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Orioles committed three errors in their 8-4 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays in the second game of Monday's doubleheader at Camden Yards.The teams split the doubleheader with the Orioles winning 11-5 in the first game.
