West Baltimore community demands inclusion in Safe Streets or money to fight crime
BALTIMORE -- A West Baltimore community is filing a complaint against the city and asking for $5 million to fund their crime plan.Matthew Henson neighborhood residents argue they are not included in Baltimore's Safe Streets boundaries, a program geared toward crime reduction, and they want the money to address the crime in their community.Doc Cheatham, President of the Matthew Henson community, said the complaint is more about the safety than it is about the money.Community leaders are giving the city the option to either redraw the boundaries for Safe Streets or give them the money to create their own crime...

15-year-old turns himself in over shooting death of teen at Mondawmin Metro Station
BALTIMORE - A 15-year-old turned himself in and has been charged in the shooting death of a 14-year-old at the Mondawmin Metro Station.Jasper Davis was killed on July 21 following a shooting at the metro station in the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. A 19-year-old was also injured in the shooting.The 15-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder.

One of the longest running and successful production’s on Broadway was “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.” It tells the story of once upon a time, when a young and spoiled prince lived in a magnificent castle. One cold winter night, an old beggar woman came asking for shelter in exchange for a single red rose and the unkind prince turned her away. In response, the beggar revealed her true form as an enchantress and cursed the prince, transforming him into an unsightly Beast. The curse could only be broken if the Beast learned to love and earned the love of a woman before the last petal of the enchanted rose fell. Belle, who feels out of place in her village, becomes the Beast’s prisoner in his enchanted castle, and their journey toward love and redemption begins.

BALTIMORE - Newly released body camera footage shows the moment a construction worker was pulled to land after the collapse of Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge in March.In the video obtained by our media partner The Baltimore Banner, officers are seen helping Julio Cervantes Suarez onto the dock and then walking toward land, occasionally stopping and grabbing the railing.Eight construction workers were on the bridge when the massive cargo ship Dali lost power and hit a critical span of the bridge, causing it to collapse.Two construction workers survived and six were later recovered in the Patapsco River.The devastating bridge collapse shut down the federal channel and closed full access to the Port of Baltimore for two months.Those who died in the bridge collapse were 35-year-old Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes, 26-year-old Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera, 38-year-old Maynor Yasir Suazo-Sandoval, 24-year-old Carlos Hernandez, 49-year-old Miguel Angel Luna Gonzalez and 35-year-old Jose Mynor Lopez.
