Theatre Review: ‘Disney’s Beauty and the Beast’ at Small Town Stars Theatre Company
One of the longest running and successful production’s on Broadway was “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.” It tells the story of once upon a time, when a young and spoiled prince lived in a magnificent castle. One cold winter night, an old beggar woman came asking for shelter in exchange for a single red rose and the unkind prince turned her away. In response, the beggar revealed her true form as an enchantress and cursed the prince, transforming him into an unsightly Beast. The curse could only be broken if the Beast learned to love and earned the love of a woman before the last petal of the enchanted rose fell. Belle, who feels out of place in her village, becomes the Beast’s prisoner in his enchanted castle, and their journey toward love and redemption begins.
