LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — A 45-year-old man who was reported missing over the holiday weekend was found dead in a rugged desert wilderness area in northwest Arizona.

The body of Adam Robert Reigh was found by search teams from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on Tuesday morning. He was last seen around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, when he left a friend’s house alone. His vehicle was found at about 2 p.m. Friday.

Reigh went missing from White Hills, Arizona, a small community just east of U.S. 93 between Las Vegas and Kingman. It’s about 70 miles from Las Vegas.

Police said there were no signs of foul play and it appears heat was a factor in his death.

Sheriff’s deputies responded when Reigh’s vehicle was found, and search teams worked over the weekend. “While Detectives processed the vehicle, tracking teams began searching for his outbound track. His track was located west of the vehicle and tracking teams continued following the track throughout the night. Personal items located during the search confirmed the track followed was his track,” according to information provided by the sheriff’s office.

The body was transported to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Tracking teams, K9 teams and drone teams took part in the search during excessive heat conditions. The Arizona Department of Public Safety’s Western Air Rescue helicopter from Kingman and the Northern Air Rescue helicopter from Flagstaff provided air support.
