OBITUARY: Charles ‘Coach Chuck’ Raymond Davis

Charles “Coach Chuck” Raymond Davis, age 78 of White House went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at his home, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born October 3, 1945 in Nashville, TN to Norman W. & Frances Crotzer Davis, Sr.
He worked as a teacher and coach for White House High School and was retired after 33 years of service. During those years, he coached football, basketball and girls’ softball, with girls’ softball being his love.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of White House Church of Christ, where he served as an elder and song leader. He enjoyed annual trips to the beach with Nikki, John, Carli and Casey, watching his grandchildren playing sports and growing up and traveling, especially with his dearest friends, Norman and Debbie Shelton.
After his retirement, he loved spending free time with his father, having lunch and just spending quality Dad and Son time together.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Davis; brother, Norman W. Davis, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diane Davis; daughter, Stephanie “Nikki” (John) Frost, both of White House, TN; father, Norman W. Davis, Sr., Nashville, TN; sisters, Donna Davis and Karen Tallent, both of Nashville, TN and Sherry (Ron) Read, Hendersonville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Carli Frost and Casey Frost, White House, TN.
A Celebration of Life memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 1 pm at White House Church of Christ, with David Swanger officiating. Visitation is planned for Tuesday, July 23, 2024 3-8 pm and Wednesday, July 24, 2024 11 am until the hour of the service at the church.
