Kodiak nonprofit raising funds to add another cabin at Pasagshak recreation site
Public use cabins across the Kodiak archipelago are getting lots of use this summer, especially the one located at Pasagshak State Recreation site, near the end of the island’s road system. Now the nonprofit Friends of Kodiak State Parks is raising money to build a second cabin in the area later this year.

Alaska Regional Plans New ER as Anchorage Faces Growing Need for Emergency Care
There's a growing need for emergency care in Anchorage and Alaska Regional is trying to answer that call. The hospital wants to build a full-service emergency room facility along the Old Seward Highway in South Anchorage. This new ER would include imaging and diagnostic laboratories and five emergency room beds.
Seward Man Charged for Threatening to 'Bomb and Shoot' Governor's Office
Alaska State Troopers say a man from Seward threatened to "bomb and shoot" Governor Mike Dunleavy's office. According to court papers 22-year-old Matthew Stanley sent the Governor's office a feedback form and signed it as someone else. He called on Dunleavy to pay members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union more money or else.
