Owners Beverly and Aaron McGinnis are putting the finishing touches on their new store, Possum Creek Antiques and Primitives in White Pine. Located at 3203 Oak Street, the store celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, July 13 at 9 a.m.
Refreshments will be served at the grand opening and door prizes given away.
While the couple’s previous store on State Street in White Pine included vendors, this location does not and all the inventory belongs to the McGinnises. It includes antiques, primitives, home decor, Pyrex, Corningware, tools and even a buggy and a sleigh among its items for sale.
Aaron has been dealing in antiques for 40-45 years, and said he is an avid collector, with his home filled with treasures he has collected. Beverly refers to the house as a museum filled with a collection of various antiques and items.
Beverly and Aaron even met at an antique shop and started dating after Aaron’s wife died. Beverly had also previously lost a spouse. They have now been married for 7 years.
Previously, the couple operated Possum Creek Antiques and Collectibles, but that location closed after six years.
“We are excited about our new venture. We look forward to seeing our regular customers as well as meeting new ones,” Beverly said.

Layaway is available with the customer paying 20% down on the item then having 30 days to pay off the balance. Gift certificates will also be available.
“We encourage everyone to come out to see us at our new location,” Beverly said.
