With an annual report before the Huron City Commission a week ago Peggy Besch manager of the South Dakota State Fair gave an update on the planned new sheep complex. The former “H” shaped sheep barn was removed a couple years ago to make room for the Dakota Events Complex the DEX. Hills & Valley Riding Club holds 28th Annual Ranch Rodeo July 20 at Miles Nelson Arena
The 28th Annual Hills & Valley Riding Club Ranch Rodeo was held Saturday, July 20, at the Miles Nelson Arena in Sisseton. Teams competed in six events: Team Penning, Team Branding, Team Doctoring, Double Muggin’, Team Poles and Barrels, and Calf Sled Relay. Each team consissted of one youth 14 years or younger, one female, and two other members. There were ten teams competing this year for prize money, buckles and a fun time.
