Crews recover 1 person, searching for 2nd after drowning in Sheyenne River
FORT RANSOM, N.D. (KFGO) – Ransom County Sheriff Darren Benneweis says two kayakers drowned after going over the Fort Ransom Dam on the Sheyenne river Sunday afternoon. A number of units responded to the call around 4 p.m., and one victim was recovered late yesterday. Efforts are underway today to recover the second victim.

Man arrested after Grand Forks standoff held without bail
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - The man arrested after a SWAT standoff at a Grand Forks apartment building is being held without bail. Collin Posey, 32, was in court Monday on a number of state and federal charges. He’s accused of being involved in a criminal conspiracy to include distributing large amounts of fentanyl-laced pills and methamphetamine between Minneapolis and the Spirit Lake Reservation in North Dakota.
