    Wanda Rose McMahan Wykle

    Wanda Rose McMahan Wykle of White Sulphur Springs passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Seneca Trail Healthcare Center in Fairlea.

    Wanda was born February 2, 1943, in Zenith (Monroe County). She was the daughter of the late Ira Lee McMahon and Beatrice Green McMahan.

    Wanda was a CNA and worked in health care for 35 years at Andrew Rowan Nursing Home in Sweet Springs, WV. She also worked at Greenbrier Manor, Fairlea, WV, and White Sulphur Springs Health Care Center.

    She loved reading, making scrapbooks, growing flowers, sewing, planting, working in her garden, and helping anyone she could, including her family and friends.

    Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Wykle; and her son, Ronnie Lee Wykle; her brothers, Carl McMahan, Raymond McMahan; her sister, Barbara McMahan Freeny; brothers-in-law, Hasten Freeny and Robert Eugene Williams; nephews, Tracy Dean Pack and Anthony Dean Pack; nieces, Michele Williams and Thronda Springston Boreiy.

    Survivors include granddaughter, Savanna Rose Wykle of Allen, TX; brothers, Virgil Dale McMahan (Jo) of Renick, WV, George Ray McMahan of Caldwell, WV, Dalford Gene McMahan (Kathy) of Zenith, WV; special nephew/brother, James Pierce (Dee) of Rock Camp, WV; sisters, Ruth Marie McMahan Williams of Lindside, WV, Shirley Ann McMahan Springston (Tony) of Rock Camp, WV, Georgia Mae McMahan of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Delsie Rene McMahan Pack Knicely (Terrence) of Friars Hill, WV, who was Wanda’s caretaker for 5 years plus. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

    Wanda’s faith is Seventh Day Adventist, and the church is located at 1019 Court Street N., Lewisburg, WV 24901.

    Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

    Memorial donations may be made to the Lewisburg Seventh Day Adventist Church in Memory of Wanda McMahan Wykle.

    Wanda is asleep in Jesus in her grave, until her resurrection. The Bible says, “16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” 1Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV.

    Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Heroes Sical officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
