WHITEHALL, Ohio ( WCMH ) – Central Ohio non-profits now have a new space to do some of their work.

On Monday, the ribbon was cut at a new Shine Bright Community Center in Whitehall. The center is in the same building as Discover’s customer care center. It marks the company’s second such space.

There are multi-purpose meeting rooms, board rooms, and an event space, all free to use for non-profits or community-based organizations. Center leaders said it’s meant to be a space for them to meet and hold banquets or other events.

“It’s super exciting,” Dionne Williams, community manager for Discover Shine Bright Center, said. “This has been a long time coming, over a year in construction that we’ve been working on this, over a year in the commitment we’ve had so its super exciting that we not only get a brand new space for our employees but a brand new space to impact the community where we’re seated.”

While Monday was the grand opening for the community center, the customer care portion of the building opened in June.
