Milton committee to undertake parks inventory
The Milton Parks and Recreation Committee is set to begin an inventory and investigation into existing conditions of the town’s parks. Councilman Scotty Edler, the committee’s chair, said the plan is to use volunteer help with arborist and park management experience to help conduct the inventory. He said as the town continues to expand and grow, the idea is to see what is already in the town’s parks in terms of trees and infrastructure. WOODBINE – William Topley, owner of Ludlam Island Brewery of Ocean View, was already contemplating a move when he heard that Mouse Trap Lanes, a popular bowling spot in Woodbine, was closing. The news hit the nail on the proverbial head for him. He soon thereafter closed the original Ludlam Island, purchased, gutted and renovated the Mouse Trap building, and reopened a new and much larger Ludlam this spring.
Deadly crash in Lewes under investigation after car catches fire and damages nearby house
LEWES, Del. - Delaware State Police are investigating a deadly crash that occurred in Lewes Monday night. On July 15, at about 11:26 p.m., a BMW was driving Eastbound near the 16000 block of Gills Neck Road at an apparent high rate of speed. For reasons under investigation, the BMW left the road as it approached a sharp curve on Gills Neck Road. The BMW then continued onto a residential property, where it struck a wall, a tree and a metal fence, according to police. After striking the tree, the BMW became engulfed in fire. The fire spread to the house causing extensive damage. The occupants of the house exited and were not injured.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Chipotle Mexican Grill opened a new location with drive-thru Tuesday at 9 Broadway Road.
