    Elkhorn woman charged with homicide in fatal crash near Whitewater

    WHITEWATER — A 24-year-old Elkhorn woman faces four counts of homicide after an investigation into a three-vehicle crash near Whitewater on April 13.

    Lexus D. Boedecker was arrested by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.

    An adult male and two females were ejected from a vehicle and died at the scene while six were injured at U.S. Highway 12/89 and East County Line Road in the town of Lima. A third female passed away days later from injuries sustained in the crash.

    According to a release from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office:

    An investigation on the crash led to Boedecker and she faces four counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle–controlled substance, one count of operating with a detectable amount of a controlled substance and two counts of injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle–controlled substance.

    Boedecker was taken into custody with assistance by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and brought to the Rock County Jail.

    Boedecker is scheduled for a court appearance on Monday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m.
