NEWPORT — The North Country Union High School board hosted several of the state’s highest officials at an emergency meeting Monday night. The purpose was to discuss what to do if levels of PCBs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) in the wing housing most classrooms are not cut sufficiently after current mitigation efforts are completed in mid-August. Bethel truck rollover results in serious injuries
BETHEL — A single-vehicle rollover crash involving a tractor trailer on VT RT 107 resulted in severe injuries for a 48-year-old Hardwick man early Tuesday morning. Chad Trudeau was negotiating a right turn near the intersection of North Road at speeds exceeding the posted limit when his 2007 Mack truck tractor began to overturn.
