Lincoln starts new initiative to replace nearly 2,000 lead service lines

(KOLN) - Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and Meg McCollister, Environmental Protection Agency region seven administrator, kicked off the first phase of the city’s lead water service line replacement program in Lincoln’s Woods Park Neighborhood on Tuesday. Chances of rain will mostly be on the lower side of things over the next few weeks. The best chances in our forecast will be during the afternoon and evening of Saturday (out west), Sunday, and Monday. Sunday probably overall holds the best chance for the majority of the area.
