It’ll be downstate Illinois Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski’s first presidential nominating convention since she took office. She says she’s looking forward to party leaders talking about what’s truly at stake in November.

During a news briefing on Wednesday morning, August 14, Jackson County State’s Attorney Joseph A. Cervantez announced that 22-year-old Keavonte Nesby, of Carbondale, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with the death of Keeshanna Jackson.
