    Power restored for customers in south Huntsville

    UPDATE : As of 8:20 a.m., Huntsville Utilities says that power has been restored for customers in south Huntsville. The cause of the outage was due to a vehicle hitting a pole along Memorial Parkway. Huntsville Utilities says that crews are still in the area working to fix the pole.

    Any customers in this area who are still without power should report it by calling (256)-535-4448.


    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A power outage is impacting customers in South Huntsville on Thursday morning.

    According to Huntsville Utilities, crews are responding to a power outage from Weatherly Road south to Redstone Road and from Redstone Arsenal to just east of Bailey Cove Road.

    The Huntsville Utilities Outage Map shows that nearly 880 people are being impacted by the outage at this time.

    Service will be restored as quickly as possible.

    The cause of the outage has yet to be confirmed.
