Meet Shorty! News 19’s Adoptable Pet of the Week

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Pets come in all shapes and sizes and have unique personalities. Each week, News 19 features an adoptable pet from a shelter or humane society in North Alabama hoping to introduce you to a pet that is just the right ‘fit’ for your home.

This week, we want to introduce you to Shorty at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society (GHHS).

Shorty is a sweet and affectionate 7-year-old who is currently in foster. The humane society says he has a heart of gold and a passion for making new friends – whether they’re people or other pups.

GHHS says Shorty enjoys car rides, going on short, fun-filled adventures and being a couch companion while binge-watching your favorite shows (but do note he’s a big fan of Gilmore Girls and the Great British Bake-Off).

“Shorty is looking for a forever home where he can share his endless affection and charm. If you’re searching for a loyal friend to bring warmth and joy to your life, Shorty is your boy!” GHHS says.

Shorty is currently in foster so GHHS encourages people to reach out if they’d like to meet him. His foster mom says, “To meet him is to fall in love with him!”
