Decatur Police Department to host community National Night Out campaign

DECATUR, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Decatur Police Department will host a community event on Saturday to build relationships with citizens.

On Saturday, August 24, DPD will host National Night Out (NNO). NNO is a national community-building campaign that encourages law enforcement and community relationships.

The event will be held at Ingalls Harbor Pavilion from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The department says this event is a night to get to know law enforcement officers and help “build a safer, stronger community.”

There will be food trucks, music, giveaways, games and activities.
