    61-year-old man killed after motorcycle crash in Lawrence County

    LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A motorcycle crash has left a man dead after a crash that happened in Lawrence County on Friday, August 9.

    According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a motorcycle was driving on Alabama 157 about three miles southeast of Moulton when it left the road and overturned.

    Troopers say that the driver was thrown from the motorcycle and airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

    ALEA identified the driver as William J. Beard, 61, of Vinemont. He died from his injuries on Sunday, August 18.

    The crash remains under investigation by the ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
