67-year-old man killed in Franklin County crash

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — A 67-year-old man died following a crash that happened on Monday.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado was driving along Alabama 187 two miles south of Belgreen when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree around 5:25 p.m.

ALEA has identified the victim as Michael E. Chamblee, 67, of Hodges.

ALEA said that Chamblee was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division.
