LEIGHTON, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The LaGrange Water System has been facing issues due to the recent highs in temperatures and the potential of leaks.

“The water system can’t keep up, water is critical in our area, the tank is very dry from the heat, but it could also have a leak, we are unsure right now. We are handing out water to people affected, TVA has provided the water for us,” said Fire Chief Matt Moore of the White Oak Volunteer Fire Department.

Volunteers will be passing out water for customers at White Oak Volunteer Fire Department on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
