One dead, multiple injured after I-565 wreck near Research Park Boulevard

HUNTSVILLE, Ala ( WHNT ) — Officials with HEMSI say one person is dead and multiple people are injured after a wreck on Interstate 565 near Research Park Boulevard

HEMSI Spokesperson Don Webster said three ambulances responded after multiple people were injured in the wreck at 7:03 Friday Night.

Webster said that one person was pronounced dead at the scene while three people were taken to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition. He said two other people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) said officers responded to the single-vehicle accident Friday evening.

HPD said investigators are on the scene and will provide updates on the situation as they become available.
