    Roadway back open after major crash in DeKalb County

    UPDATE : AL-68 and County Road 221 are clear and back open for drivers as of 8:30 a.m.

    COLLINSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — A major crash has shut down a road in DeKalb County on Thursday morning.

    The crash took place along AL-68 and County Road 221 in Collinsville shortly after 6 a.m.

    According to the Alabama Department of Transportation, officials have closed the eastbound and westbound lanes of the road.

    There is no word of any injures at this time. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
