    DTF finds about $12K in drugs including fentanyl during search of Florence home

    LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — A man is facing drug trafficking charges after the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force searched a home in Florence.

    According to the task force, agents searched a home on West Mobile Street on Wednesday after it obtained a warrant based on suspicions of drug dealing activity by the person who lived there.

    During the search, the Drug Task Force said it found Marijuana, Cocaine, and approximately 1000
    Fentanyl pills weighing about 100 grams. Drug paraphernalia was also located.

    Officials say the street value of the drugs was around $12,000.

    DTF said additional charges are expected.

    The Florence/Lauderdale Special Operations Team, Florence Police Department, Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, Lauderdale County District Attorney’s Office, and DEA assisted with the investigation.
