Bank Independent to host free or reduced animal shelter adoptions

( WHNT ) — Eight North Alabama animal shelters are participating in an Adoption Day hosted by Bank Independent on Friday.

On September 13, Bank Independent and the Helping Hands Foundation will host an adoption day. For this event, Bank Independent will pay adoption fees for approved adoptions through the following participating shelters:

• Colbert County Animal Shelter
• Decatur Animal Services
• Florence/Lauderdale Animal Services
• HOPE in Franklin County
• Huntsville Animal Shelter
• Lawrence County Animal Shelter
• Morgan County Animal Shelter
• Creating Hope for Paws

The number of adoptions available at each location will be limited and served on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bank Independent says the event will last all day.
