Man arrested for August shooting on Lakeview Drive

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A 21-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after a shooting in Huntsville on August 31, according to the Huntsville Police Department.

HPD told News 19 that 21-year-old Jon Humphrey was arrested on Tuesday for felony warrants stemming from an August 31 shooting on Lakeview Drive .

At the time of the shooting, police said they believed two of the victims were shooting at each other and they were not looking for any suspects since they were the only ones involved.

Madison County’s jail view shows Humphrey is facing several charges, including two counts of first-degree aggravated assault, one count of second-degree aggravated assault and two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied building, railroad, aircraft, automobile, truck, or watercraft.

The police department said the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
