Florence man killed in two-vehicle crash in Colbert County

COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — A crash that happened in Colbert County on Tuesday afternoon has left a Florence man dead.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox was driving along AL- 20 near Gargis Lane, approximately three miles east of Muscle Shoals, when it was hit by a 2016 Ford F-350 around 2:10 p.m.

ALEA said that the crash killed Jerry D. Richardson, 76, of Florence . According to ALEA, Richardson died at the scene of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
