    Suspect charged with capital murder after Harvest shooting leaves one dead

    HARVEST, Ala. (WHNT) — A suspect has been identified and charged with capital murder after a shooting happened in Harvest on Thursday.

    HEMSI spokesperson Don Webster says that one man was taken to the hospital where they later died from their injuries.

    The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said that one person was taken into custody following the shooting, who has now been identified as Carrandas Oshay Jackson, 27.

    According to court documents, the victim was identified as Courtney Jackson.

    Jackson is charged with Homicide-Capital Murder-Of a person in a vehicle. He is being held on no bond in the Madison County Jail.

    Jackson was booked into the Madison County Jail on Friday morning at 12:09 a.m.

    According to officials the shooting took place around 6:27 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Silver Poplar Place.

    Authorities believe the shooting was domestic related.

    Carrandas Oshay Jackson also has a felony examination scheduled for October 2.
