PRICEVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Priceville Police Department said a man was arrested for DUI and trafficking drugs Saturday morning.

PPD said on September 14 around 2 a.m., they received a call about a reckless driver driving north on I-65.

The department said the person who called said the car exited the highway at the 334 exit and then turned north on Highway 67 toward Decatur.

PPD said an officer was able to find the car and watched it use multiple lanes and watched the car cross into oncoming traffic.

Decatur Police were unable to get a unit in the area before the driver went into a busier area of Decatur. From this point, the driver became a ‘significant hazard to other motorists.’

A PPD officer was able to stop the car off Beltline Road and Sandlin Road. 33-year-old George Edward Williams Jr. was arrested for DUI. During the stop, the officer said Williams had a trafficking amount of marijuana. Williams was given an additional trafficking cannabis charge.

He was taken to the Morgan County Jail and held with an $11,000 bond.
