    Man arrested after shooting in Lacey’s Spring Wednesday night

    LACEY’S SPRING, Ala. (WHNT) — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said a man has been arrested after a shooting Wednesday night.

    MCSO said on Friday, deputies arrested 41-year-old David William Vanderpool from Somerville. Vanderpool was arrested on two warrants for shooting into an occupied car.

    The department said Vanderpool was taken to the Morgan County Jail with a bond of $10,000.

    On Wednesday , the department said deputies and EMS responded to a reported shooting in the area of Highland Avenue, near Highland Baptist Church, in Lacey’s Spring around 9:18 p.m.

    According to MCSO, the incident involved five men and a woman who came to the church parking lot in a vehicle. Deputies said that the males got into a fight with someone who was shooting at the vehicle.

    MCSO said one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

    Just looked him up on the Morgan County jail website , he made bail 1 hour & 15 minutes after he was booked in jail.
