Huntsville Utilities warning of lane closures beginning next week on Swancott Road

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — Huntsville Utilities (HU) is warning residents of some daily lane closures on Swancott Road for the installation of a new water main.

The utility company said the work will begin Monday, Sept. 23 and run Monday through Friday until February 2025. HU said the closures will affect the northbound lane of Swancott Road between Rockhouse Road and Pryor Road.

The closure is planned to run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, according to the company.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible and to use extreme caution in the area as workers will be present.
