    Morgan County Sheriff’s Office hosting basic firearms safety class

    MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office has announced a basic firearms safety class that will take place on Tuesday, September 24.

    According to the Sheriff’s Office, the class will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Hartselle First Baptist Church located at 210 Woodlawn Street from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Hartselle.

    Deputies told News 19 that the class will focus on safely handling a weapon, proper technique for shooting your weapon, getting familiar with your weapon, and more.

    Additionally, attendees will be able to sign up to attend a safety course at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Firing Range on Saturday morning, September, 28.

    Deputies would like to remind the public to not bring any firearms or ammunition to the class on Tuesday night stating that this is only this classroom portion.
