    Man charged with arson for fire at Madison apartment complex in August

    MADISON, Ala. ( WHNT ) — A Madison man has been charged with arson for a fire at Arch Street Apartments in August, according to court documents.

    Court documents state that David Freeman Burgess intentionally caused damage to the apartments. Documents show the fire occurred on August 3.

    Burgess is charged with first-degree arson.

    He was held at the Madison County Jail before being released on a $60,000 bond.
