    DCSO arrest student for terrorist threats towards Crossville Middle School

    CROSSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The DeKalb County Schools System (DCSS) says a student attending Crossville Middle School was arrested for making a terrorist threat and engaging in harassing communication.

    DCSS said Crossville Middle School immediately alerted the School Resource Officer and the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) upon learning of the incident.

    DCSS said the prompt action led to an investigation and arrest of the student in question.

    We commend the Crossville Middle School administration for their vigilance and quick reporting and the School Resource Officer for his prompt response. Additionally, we extend our deepest gratitude to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office for their comprehensive investigation that led to the arrest. The school and law enforcement collaboration demonstrates our unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment.
