Huntsville Police investigating assault on Drake Avenue

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) says it is investigating after an assault on Drake Avenue Friday.

An HPD spokesperson said officers responded to an assault in the 3300 block of Drake Avenue. HPD said one person was taken to the hospital from the scene.

The department said it is still investigating how the person was assaulted at this time.

HPD said the victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
