Traffic stop leads to man arrested on trafficking charge in Boaz

BOAZ, Ala. ( WHNT ) — A man was arrested after a traffic stop that happened in Boaz on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

According to the Boaz Police Department, officers pulled over a black Nissan Titan driven by Brandon Lee Riley.

Upon further investigation, additional officers arrived with K-9 Borik to assist with the traffic stop. BPD said that K-9 Borik then conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle and passenger led to officers finding around two ounces of methamphetamine.

According to Boaz Police, Brandon Lee Riley was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

He was taken to the Marshall County Jail and was given a $750,000 bond.
