BRYANT, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Bryant Fire Department said acres were burned Sunday and Monday after two separate fires spread.

The Bryant Fire Department took to Facebook to remind citizens not to burn anything outside. The department posted photos of land that was burned Sunday after a fire broke out.

The department did not say how many acres were burned but no buildings/structures were impacted.

Bryant Fire said over 20 firefighters and Alabama forestry worked together to put out the fire. The department said it took hours to put out.

On Monday, the Bryant Fire Department also said a homeowner claimed they, “just burned a bag of trash and everything caught on fire.”

The department warns citizens not to burn anything outside as the two fires have burned more acres and put homes at risk. They said no structures were damaged in this fire.
