Redstone Arsenal gate to be closed for road work two separate weekends

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. ( WHNT ) — Team Redstone announced Gate 8 will close for road work two times in the next few weeks.

Team Redstone posted on Facebook that Gate 8 would be closed for the first time from Thursday, September 26 through Monday, September 30. The second time Gate 8 will be closed is Thursday, October 3 through Monday, October 7.

Roadway surfaces will be milled during the first closure and will then be paved during the second. gate 8 will close at 9:30 a.m. on closure dates and will reopen at 10 a.m. on reopening dates.

Team Redstone said vehicles will be able to drive on the milled roads.

Gate 10 on Patton Road South will be open for entry while Gate 8 is closed. Gate 10 will be open for entry and exit between 5:30 a.m. through 9:30 p.m. during both Gate 8 closures.
