    Athens Police Department looking for missing UAH student

    ATHENS, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Athens Police Department (APD) is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man.

    APD said they are asking for help to find David Stann who was last seen on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024.

    The department said Stann is described as 5’4″ tall and weighing 150 pounds.

    Authorities said Stann may be driving a black 2017 Volkswagen Jetta with an Alabama specialty plate for space exploration numbered A138A2. APD said Stann may be in a Lauderdale/Lawrence County area.

    The department said anyone with any information should call the Athens Police Department at (256) 233-8700.

    A UAH spokesperson confirmed to News 19 that Stann is a student at the university.
