    Decatur man dead after hit-and-run in Lawrence County, according to ALEA

    LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said a man was killed after he was hit by a vehicle in Lawrence County Sunday morning.

    ALEA said around 2:40 a.m., a single-vehicle crash killed 31-year-old Matthew Anderson Ryan Kelley. ALEA said Kelley was lying in the roadway when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

    The agency said the unknown vehicle left the scene of the crash.

    Kelley was pronounced dead at the scene. ALEA said the crash took place on Lawrence County 209, about 10 miles east of Moulton.

    ALEA said the Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate this incident.

    The vehicle involved in the crash, along with the driver, is currently unknown. If anyone has information concerning the crash, please contact ALEA Troopers at (256) 383-9212.
