LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. ( WHNT ) — Several agencies in Lauderdale County have teamed up to collect donations to send to communities in East Tennessee.

Florence/Lauderdale EMA, Florence Fire & Rescue and the Lauderdale County Association of Volunteer Fire Departments are teaming up together to take up donations of supplies to be taken to members of communities in East Tennessee affected by the floods.

Here is the list of things the agencies are accepting:

    • buckets with lids
    • bottled water
    • non-perishable food

The agencies said those wanting to donate can bring the items to any of the five Florence Fire stations and any of the 14 Lauderdale County Volunteer Fire Departments: Anderson, Center Star, Central, Cloverdale, Elgin, Greenhill, Killen, Lexington, Mid-Lauderdale, Oakland, Rogersville, Underwood-Petersville, Waterloo, Zip City during normal business hours from September 30 through October 5.

If you want to drop items off at a Lauderdale County Volunteer Department, please try to contact them and coordinate a good time because these stations are not staffed 24 hours a day. If no one is there, please do not place items in front of bay doors.

There will also be a drop-off point at Oktoberfest in St. Florian on October 4th & 5th.
