CULLMAN, Ala. (WHNT) — Two former Limestone County Correctional officers are facing drug charges after two separate searches led to over two pounds of meth being found.

According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, the department executed a search warrant at the home of James and Sophia Chambers in Cullman County. James Chambers is a former employee at Limestone Correctional Facility.

That search found approximately 1.4 pounds of methamphetamine, approximately 1.5 pounds of marijuana, 5 firearms and 10 drones. Both suspects were transported to the Cullman County Jail and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and more.

After further investigation, fellow former Limestone County Correctional officer Becca Marsh was arrested after ADOC said they found approximately 1.2 pounds of methamphetamine at her
    home.

She was taken to the Limestone County Jail and charged with use of official position for personal gain.

In December 2022, ADOC said former guard James Chambers and his wife surrendered themselves to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and he was facing multiple bribery and using office for personal gain charges.
