    Grant Police Department accepting donations for Hurricane Helene victims

    GRANT, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Grant Police Department (GPD), is accepting donations to be taken to victims of Hurricane Helene.

    Current items needed or accepted will include flashlights, batteries, work gloves(all sizes), nitrile gloves(all sizes), contractor size trash bags, rubbing alcohol, peroxide, band aids, first aid supplies, deodorant, unopened tylenol, advil, tums, etc., wet wipes, charcoal, small propane tanks, cleaning supplies, candles, powder form sports/hydration drinks, baby wipes, baby and adult diapers, bugg spray(OFF), sun screen, plastic utensils, can opener’s, paper plates/bowls, traps/plastic sheeting, toothpaste, toothbrushes, paper towels, toilet paper, dog/cat food, hand sanitizer, feminine products, non- perishable food items, baby food/formula.

    According to GPD, water, toys, blankets, and socks are not needed at this time.
