Huntsville woman arrested, charged with battery of 65-year-old in Miami

MIAMI, Fla. (WHNT) – A Huntsville woman was arrested in Florida on Saturday following the assault of a 65-year-old.

According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, officers responded to the Port Miami for a reported assault.

The Deputy Chief Security Officer of the MSC Seascape told MDPD that Kelli Lyn Ryan, 49, was seen ‘hitting the victim with an open hand’ after an argument. The deputy chief also said that shortly after Ryan hit the victim, her son began hitting them multiple times, which caused injuries.

The police report said the victim had multiple wounds on their face and head. Security added that her son was disembarked at the port in Jamaica due to his “excessive behavior.”

Kelli Lyn Ryan was arrested at the port and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
