    Two fifth graders injured after falling from float at Collinsville Homecoming parade

    COLLINSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Collinsville Police Department says two children were injured Thursday after an incident at the city’s homecoming parade.

    Collinsville Police Chief Andy Brown said two fifth-grade students at Collinsville school were injured Thursday night after falling from a float they were riding on.

    The chief said both children were injured in the fall but did not receive life-threatening injuries. He said both were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

    “Please pray for these children and their families, as this was a scary situation for all involved,” Brown said.
