Coach’s Corner: Athens’s Cody Gross

HUNTSVILLE, Ala ( WHNT ) — While football is all about the team, they would be nothing without a good coach.

Each week, News 19’s Olivia Whitmire and Alexa Harley invite a coach leading a program in the Tennesse Valley into the studio for a chat.

This week, Athens Football Head Coach Cody Gross stopped by the studio to chat about the season so far. He’s been head coach for the Golden Eagles since 2016.

Gross has led the team to a 6-2 record this season and a 3-2 record in region play, losing close games to region opponents Hartselle and Muscle Shoals.
