ALDOT provides update surrounding weekend lane closures of I-65 Tennessee River Bridge

DECATUR, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has announced that the weekend lane closure of the I-65 Tennessee River Bridge originally planned for the rest of the month have been cancelled.

According to ALDOT, the contractor Cekra Inc.’s, was able to help complete repairs to the northbound bridge deck ahead of schedule.

ALDOT officials told News 19 that while no more daytime closures are expected for the rest of the project, drivers should be aware of nighttime lane closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
