Forecast: Warm and Mostly Dry, with Tiny Storm Chances

    By Jason Parkin,

Expect a dry and comfortable overnight with maybe some patchy fog in far northern Iowa. Lows in the 50s northwest and 60s elsewhere.

A few computer models are putting isolated showers/storms over southwest Iowa during the afternoon hours on Sunday. These should stay west of the WHO13 viewing area.

Below, forecast rainfall through Friday from the European computer model and the government’s Weather Prediction Center. Both paint a mostly-dry picture of the upcoming week. We do have a chance for an isolated storm Wednesday and again on Saturday.

Expected high temperatures for the next 6 days are below. For most, this will be a stretch of great weather.

It appears we’ll make a return to more August-like weather starting next weekend. Both the 6-to-10 and 8-to-14-day forecasts also call for below-normal precipitation.

Your WHO13 7-day forecast. Enjoy the weekend!
