    Baccam hosts door knocking event with statehouse minority leader

    DES MOINES, Iowa — Only 72 days until the November elections and candidates are picking up the pace entering the final stretch.

    The Democratic candidate in Iowa’s Third Congressional district hosting a door knocking event Saturday in Windsor Heights with the Iowa House minority leader in attendance. Jennifer Konfrst (D) District 32 from Windsor Heights just had gotten back in town from the Democratic National Convention.

    Baccam told WHO 13 News that he can feel the energy around his campaign since the switch at the top of the ticket from President Joe Biden to Vice President Kamala Harris.

    “We can clearly see a better, more positive vision for the future of our state and our country. We know there is an opportunity to make change and we can do it this cycle. That is why we are seeing so many people continuously show up to volunteer for our campaign,” said Baccam.

    Meanwhile, the incumbent Baccam is running against, Congressman Zach Nunn (R) was in Perry on Saturday attending the ‘Viva Perry’ annual event.
